Matt Wolf - President/CEO
As a triple major at Ohio State planning to get his PhD, between his Junior and Senior years Matt Wolf took a summer job as a laborer with a small slate roofing
firm in Columbus, Ohio. Discovering he had a passion for helping people care for their old homes and buildings Matt accepted when he was offered a job as part of the
sales staff at the end of that summer of grueling roof work. Completing his degree at night, for the next twelve years Matt was an integral part of building the
company into one of the largest and most respected historic restoration firms in the United States. Within three years, Matt was managing the production division
where he was responsible for the field staff, procurement of materials, safety, and quality. Eventually ascending to the position of Vice President of Operations,
Matt was then placed in charge of a sister company that grew from the original. The sister company, with three offices throughout the US specializes in historic
preservation and restoration. In this role, Matt exercised his expertise in historic preservation and restoration to oversee the successful completion of many
different projects involving historic roofing, masonry, plaster, finishes, metal work, windows, doors and structural stabilization. While on this journey, Matt
helped expand services and learned a great deal about building materials, service, integrity in business, and craftsmanship. He also had the opportunity to study
masonry restoration with some of the country's most renowned and respected authorities, becoming a respected expert himself.
Looking to round out his skills and understanding of building technology, Matt further honed his project management skills with a national commercial concrete firm. While there, Matt managed both private and public projects ranging from $1 million to $15 million and learned a great deal about structural design and issues.
Following his stint with the concrete firm, Matt's commitment to the importance of historic preservation and restoration, and commitment to making the finest quality materials and craftsmanship economically accessible, inspired him to found the Centennial Preservation Group. It is Matt's wish and desire that The Centennial Preservation Group plays a leading role in making world class historic preservation and restoration work accessible.
